Current sensors detect and measure electrical current flow in AC circuits, providing either a digital (switch) output for simple on/off current detection or an analog (transducer) output for continuous current level monitoring. Used in commercial building automation and energy management systems, they enable HVAC equipment monitoring, load verification, motor run status detection, and fault detection without direct contact with high-voltage conductors.
